Cody Russell is a native of Jacksonville FL, and transplanted himself to Atlanta in 2016. He has made a career as a Designer, Educator, Actor, and Musician. He holds an undergraduate degree in theatre performance and vocal performance from High Point University. After graduation he briefly moved to New York where he found work as an actor performing for national touring bilingual (American English/American Sign Language) Theatre for Young Audiences production, and premiering a New York Fringe Festival Musical. 

He moved back home to Jacksonville FL, where he continued to work for a Theatre for young audiences company member, actor, and educator. He started directing and designing sets for community theaters around the area while deepening his craft in arts education.

Since moving to Atlanta he has completed the Aurora Apprenticeship and earned an MFA in theatre design from the University of Georgia while broadening his professional work as a scenic designer, scenic painter, fine artist, musician, educator, actor, and props artisan.
